"contractor PLAIN" was too sad to have to look at all the time
& it was boring & depressing.
from BLAH to bold & beautiful...
i ordered my metallic copper "peel n stick" paper online. The best i remember it was about $22 a roll. also the chalkboard peel n stick was an online purchase. The stars & background are alternated top & bottom.
the redish goldish wallpaper seen below :
believe it or not : it was $2 a roll at BigLots I love that place.
The fridge seen below in the pic has been moved to the basement. It was here when I bought the property. Since this pic was taken it was replaced with a much newer black one I moved from the old house.
Also - this past summer I bought rust-o-leum countertop paint & hired someone to paint over the faux green marble. It took 2 days for the paint to cure & I'm not very pleased with the result but it is a lot brighter.I have only ONE window in the kitchan as well as in the guest bathroom so making LIGHT where there is NONE requires the use of metallics & mirrors. I have a nice mirror I bought for $10 at Big Lots I plan to hang on the wall beside the window in the corner to trick the room into thinking it has more ! I just haven't got that far yet due to not being able to get on the counter in that corner on my knees to reach the wall to hang the paper! It is an odd corner sink - I never had one before & I can't reach the wall standing on a ladder !
edging for the mirror tile
there is NO window in the guest bathroom ! So I like mirrors & metalic papers when I can to give me a lighted "feeling"
I used precut paper peel n stick mirror tile. Eveyone tells me the real tile is very hard to work with.
Maybe someday if I can get any money saved ahead I will be able to do a REAL all over remodel like I would like to be able to do!
scalloped edge in bathroom beside mirror tile
Cut circles from contact paper or other peel n stick brand & cut exactly in half. Peel off back & apply.
peel n sticki fun
just using up some scrap ...
buy them online ! not much experiance required & instantly adds light anywhere !
These were cut using my Sizzix. I need a few more to fill in the bald spots. Made from dollar store green marble peel-stick.
Paper leaves
more dollar store green marble went into this bottle.I used a small hand drawn scissor cut leaf. the stem is from wood grain peel-stick. the leaves up top are recycled from some freezer entree connected to recycled spray that was ruined outside in the weather leaving very small styrofoam balls. They are connected to the wire with beads. this was a really fun craft. All the other shapes besides the small hand cut leaves on outside of Jones soda bottle were cut using my Sizzix.
