::: Wine Bottle melting :::

a little income on the side ? MELTED WINE BOTTLES (or maybe can use other glass bottles too) they sell on 2 sites I saw $26-$30 each :
I saw really cool rings that were made from the necks of alcohol bottles : they were cut just below the top.
here are several things you can do with empty wine bottles : http://www.instructables.com/tag/?sort=none&limit%3Atype%3Aid=on&q=melted+wine+bottle - it takes like 30 hours in a toaster oven to do this ...
here's a youtube video showing how ::: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ubnpp6FbXgg

Waste Nothing: Creative Recycled Crafting

spiff up a shirt with dollar store craft leaves !

Picture
A couple dollars worth of faux foliage and some beads can turn a "plain jane" sweater or shirt into "OH WOW" favorite in an evening while watching TV! My 79 cent "twice loved" shirt is now totally fun and attractive!
I lived in a different town when I submitted this one...

stone covered golf ball

Picture
This is pretty much self explanatory. The stones came from a dollar store.But if you live near some place that you can take some from that will work !
I couldn't resist putting horns on it! It's temporarily sitting in a salt shaker lid - but i think it would be OK just sitting & not rolling off
(I edited this a little from my original post )

mini storage cube from childs foam puzzle pieces

Picture
Children's foam puzzles cost $1 here and come in a variety of scenes and cartoons. Buy a pack and instead of putting it together as it was intended, make a foam cube from it for your desk. It can also serve as a small space to store a few items or hide them out of the way (don't glue the pieces, they fit together tightly).

Turn the picture side of it to the inside and the foam on the outside can be used as a mini bulletin board or pin board on all sides! A nice little box that from it's original state can evolve into a creative multipurpose storage cube!

Tabletop terrariums

Make a tabletop terrarium from those odds and ends that tend to accumulate and clutter your cupboards. Use a shallow basket, lined with a plastic bag and filled with potting soil, and choose what small plants you want to work with and pot a couple of them in the soil. Turn a goblet or extra clear clean candle holder over the top. You might like to try to reuse a glass candy jar with a lid and put a small plant inside. Arrange the containers in the basket to suit yourself. Add a rock or a piece of pretty glass or driftwood or even a figurine, if you like. You might like to try a votive candle in stemware. You could also garden a few herbs this way!

School Locker Caddies For The Fridge

Picture
I like to buying school locker caddies sold for use at school! I love them to use on my refrigerator!
Things that tend to get lost in my junk drawer find their new home very comfy!
These were $1 each and well worth it!
